Andrew Swait - Thanks

I would like to thank all those who helped try to preserve our choir and The Abbey School Tewkesbury and those who helped me carry on singing when they ended.

David Hurley of The King Singers who is an example of a perfect singer and has been generous with his time, helping me prepare for concerts when he can.

All The King's Singers for letting me appear on their January 2007 release of Landscape and Time.  Claire Long, Mike Hatch and all at Signum Records for supporting me in the making of Light of The World and Songs of Innocence.

Adrian Peacock, who taught me that there is no compromising if you want to be a professional. He kept me going straight from the end of my choir in 2006, into Chorister of the Year and now in  my new recordings.

Simon Chorley, who never gave up on the idea of preserving The Abbey School, Tewkesbury and our choir.  His selfless work and faith in the importance of  what I and other choristers do, gives me the energy to complete things, even when I am tired.

Adrian Hutton, who told me at 5 that I was to be a chorister, when I did not know what that meant; he made sure that I found a choir and that I did my voice trial, though I could neither read words or music.

Ailsa Howarth, who teaches me the piano and keeps my mind focused on piano despite the singing.

Everyone at Cheltenham College Junior School who gave me, at such short notice, a place to continue school in July 2006, and be part of their new plans for choral training and organ music. Director of Music, Peter Mills, for always being there daily and in every emergency, when repertoire, auditions and concerts need preparing.

Dr. Andrew Plant, musicologist and curator of The Britten - Pears Library, who has given me the chance to perform at The Red House in Aldeburgh and has compiled the music and accompanied me for the recording we have just completed with James Bowman of 20th century English & American Song, Songs of Innocence.

Dr Colin Matthews of The Britten Estate, who made possible the inclusion of 4 Britten world premieres on the disc and Mr Jarman who directly helped support its making.

James Bowman, for agreeing to rehearse and record with me despite all his many commitments.

Stephen Jackson, who kindly invited me to perform  as a soloist on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Cheltenham Bach Choir in Tewkesbury Abbey, in the presence of HRH Princess Anne.  And who is currently working with me on a choral disc, with Trinity College Chamber Choir and Alexander Ffinch, organist of Cheltenham College Chapel.

Composer Karl Rutti who has allowed me to premiere his latest Magnificat on the new Choral Disc.

Adrian Lucas (City of Birmingham Choir) and all of Dec Verse (Lay clerks of Worcester Cathedral) who together have given me the chance to perform many times.

Dr Martin Neary, Ian Tilley, Steve Abbott and everyone at Universal Records for asking me to be part of the new CHOIRBOY cd, The Carols Album.  It was great fun to make and I hope proved to be just what they wanted.
